Bill has over 10 years' experience in all aspects of qualitative and quantitative marketing research. Prior to launching FirstHand Research, Bill worked for a full service marketing research firm (Rockwood Research, a division of WGN Broadcasting), in the research department of a $100 million advertising firm, and for a marketing and new product development consulting firm.

Bill has designed and executed communications and new product development research for some of the most recognizable names in American business including General Mills, Monsanto, Polaris Industries, Maytag, Sherwin Williams, Wagner SprayTech, 3M, Whirlpool and Pillsbury.

Bill did his graduate studies in Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin and a graduate of the RIVA Training Institute for focus group moderating.
